About the Area

Once a sleepy beachside town, Mooloolaba has now blossomed into an Australian holiday hotspot. Centrally located in the beautiful Queensland region of the Sunshine Coast, Mooloolaba provides shimmering white sand, sparkling blue waters and many of Queensland's famous attractions.

Though it offers one of the Sunshine Coast's most attractive beaches, Mooloolaba also provides a beautiful riverfront location with the Mooloolah River running right through it. On the beachfront there are several activities to enjoy including swimming, surfing or fishing. For those that prefer a little more adventure deep sea fishing is another popular option. Around the area there are a number of companies offering whale watching giving you the opportunity to see these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. From around May-October the whales grace the waters as they migrate north which is simply a breathtaking experience.

For those that prefer dry land there are picnic and barbecue facilities available just off the beach, or take a walk along the Esplanade. This main strip of Mooloolaba features a number of boutique shops, perfect to pick up a token of your holiday, as well as many restaurants and cafes with alfresco dining, creating the perfect place to soak up the summer sun in Mooloolaba.

Mooloolaba is also proud to boast some of Queensland's best attractions including Sea Life Mooloolaba, the Eumundi Markets, 20 minutes drive away from the famous Australia Zoo and 15 mins to all the FUN of Aussie World.
